The US Open's inaugural "Champions of Equality" event
The US Open’s inaugural ‘Champions of Equality’ event celebrated the 50th anniversary of Billie Jean King's fight for equality and the pioneering women from USTA's 16 sections who are trailblazers making ongoing contributions at the grassroots level.
Madeleine (Maddy) Dreith was the USTA Hawaii' Section's honoree. Serving for 25 years as the Director of Community Tennis, she continues to provide widespread play opportunities for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
