Ron Romano, is a USPTA and PTR certified tennis professional. Originally from New Jersey, Ron earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Moravian College in Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration from Touro College in New York. He played Division II tennis at Moravian College and became a teaching professional for 12 years including 5 years with Peter Burwash International. He was the Head Professional/Director of Tennis at four top 50 tennis resorts including three Hawaii resorts including Mauna Lani Bay Hotel, Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and The Westin Kauai. Ron has held senior management positions as the Vice President of Operations of Kauai Lagoons Resort, the General Manager of the Sheraton Makaha Resort and the General Manager of the Kauai Coconut Beach Resort. Ron has also served our country as an officer in the Army National Guard. Start Year: 2002

Madeleine Dreith holds a Bachelor of Arts in Design/Fine Arts from UCLA. Having worked in office supply retail management for over 15 years, both in Los Angeles and Hawaii, Madeleine has experience in project development, purchasing, merchandising, event planning and promotions/marketing. These skill sets were easily transferred into her present responsibility that involves developing, servicing and promoting community tennis programs. Founder of the Kilauea Jr. Tennis Club, she oversees 150 plus youngsters and their families. Madeleine is instrumental in the development of youth tennis in Hawaii and is the longest serving staff member. Madeleine is a certified PTR and USPTA Teaching Professional. Start Year: 1998

Oceane Adam, Director of Junior Tennis

Océane holds a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Hawaii Pacific University. As a player for HPU Women’s Tennis Team, she won the NCAA Division II PacWest Championship, and reached 3 Semi-Finals at the NCAA Division II National Championship. Originally from Guadeloupe, French West Indies, Océane has extensive experience as a player. She competed on the ITF and WTA tours for over 4 years and was ranked 677 WTA in singles. As a teaching professional, Océane is certified by the USPTA, with over 5 years of experience. She has been teaching for the USTA Play and Learn community program since 2021, and she is also a teaching pro at the Kailua Racquet Club. Start Year: 2023

Sara Yoshinaga was born and raised in Hawaii and has previously worked with the USTA Hawaii Pacific Section in several capacities. She is a high school graduate of Iolani School. She then attended college at the University of Redlands and received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration. While at the University of Redlands, Sara competed on the women's varsity tennis teams and was a member of the All-Conference 2nd team and the recipient of the 2009 Most Improved Award. Sara comes to the USTA from KMH LLP, where she was a human resource and tax assistant for four years. Concurrently, Sara has been the main Adult League Local League Coordinator on Oahu for the USTA. Kailuhia Lam, Project Manager

Kailuhia (Hia) Lam was born and raised in Honolulu and graduated from Punahou High School. Watching his Dad and older brother play growing up, Hia had a racket in his hand before he could stand! He played many sports from a young age, including basketball, baseball, and volleyball, but ultimately decided to focus on taking his competitive tennis to the next level.

As a junior, he participated in USTA programs and competed in tournaments reaching a #1 ranking for the Hawaii Pacific Section. Kailuhia then attended college at the University of Washington and played for the Division I Men’s Tennis Team while earning Scholar-Athlete Awards. After graduating college, Kailuhia returned home to pursue a career in environmental science. He has gained experience in natural resource management and engineering around Hawaii and previously coached classes for the Play and Learn Program. Passionate about the sport and supporting the next generation of players, Hia decided to take his career back to tennis. Kailuhia is the Program Manager for the ShortCourt Program and Schools Tennis Program and manages all expos, fairs, events, etc. You can find Hia at community events, around your local tennis courts, or catching waves at Ala Moana when the surf’s up!

Jony Conching grew up on the East Coast in Framingham, Massachusetts and holds a bachelor’s degree in Retail and Fashion Marketing from the University of Massachusetts.  After graduating college, she and her roommate bought one-way tickets to Honolulu during the largest Nor’easters of all time.

She has held sales and/or management positions at an Architectural firm, boutiques, Liberty House, and Neiman Marcus. Retail provided her with much experience in sales, marketing, merchandising and especially in customer service. Actively involved in league tennis and the tennis community in Hawaii she jumped at the chance when the office manager position opened at the USTA Hawaii Pacific office. She has now added the role of Marketing Manager, which includes creating the annual yearbook, newsletters, updating the Hawaii Pacific website, advertising and more in addition to her current position as office manager.
